Find A Mission

One way that we have divided the missions in our database is according to four different "types. They are Validated Missions,  Presbytery Missions, Mission Projects, and Partnership Opportunities.

Validated Missions:  The Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy has "validated" certain mission organizations in order to provide some assurance to congregations and members that these organizations meet certain requirements and are in effect, recommended as valid missions, worthy of support. While the Presbytery cannot guarantee the work of these groups, they have been reviewed by the Congregational Mission Action Team and meet the requirements established by that Team. A copy of the most recent Validation Form for each Mission can be accessed from that Mission's page.

Presbytery Missions:  These missions are missions supported by the Presbytery of Giddings-Lovejoy, itself. 

Mission Projects:  These are short term mission opportunities, such as Mission Trips, and are usually sponsored by congregations.

Partnership Opportunities:  These mission opportunities are usually "partnered" with a congregation that supports them and these affiliations are considered to be long lasting.  Examples include:  Thrift Shops, Food Pantries, etc.
